About Us

The London Skin Network is a new support community made by and for those suffering with Acne and similar skin disorders. There are currently two channels behind the support network, the bi weekly group meetings which take place in North London and the weekly group Skype calls for anyone not based in London.

Anyone living with a skin condition knows that it is not always an easy experience, and although there are many types of skin conditions the personal experiences are often the same, with the majoirty of people experiencing at some point during their journey; anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, isolation and lonliness. The london skin network is a safe supportive place to discuss those emotions and support each other through our day to day battles with skin disorders. Part of the journey with the London Skin Network is to build on your self confidence and learn to direct your emotions into a more peaceful direction, easing away some of the negtaivity that skin conditions can bring.

Meetings

The London Skin Network's session are joint participation by all attendees but led by the founder, Lisa. A typical structure would be centered around the following:

-Sharing our personal stories of living with our skin conditions

-Open discussions on treatments & remedies

-Inspirational thoughts & Confidence building excercises

-A chance to get to know other people who are dealing with the same issues
